What We Collect
We collect information you provide directly: email address, username, display name, profile photo, phone number (if you enable text alerts), shipping address, payment and payout identity data processed by Stripe, and listing details. We also collect usage data (pages visited, features used) to improve the platform.
How We Use It
- To operate your account and process trades
- To send transactional emails (trade confirmations, dispute notifications)
- To send notification emails if you opt in
- To detect fraud and maintain platform safety
Third-Party Services
We use Supabase for database and authentication, Stripe for payment processing, and Vercel for hosting. Each has its own privacy policy.
Your Data Rights
You can request a copy of your data or request deletion at any time by emailing support@sniffymarketplace.com. Account deletion removes your profile, listings, and personal data within 30 days. Trade records may be retained for legal compliance.
SMS / Text Message Alerts
If you opt in to Text Message Alerts on your account settings page, we will send you automated account alert texts (such as new offers on your listings, sale confirmations, and shipping updates) at the phone number you provide. Message frequency varies based on your account activity. Message and data rates may apply. Supported carriers include all major US carriers, and carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, or reply HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of using Sniffy or of any purchase.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be sold or shared with any third parties.
Marketing Emails
With your consent we send product-update and marketing emails. Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, honored promptly (transactional emails about your trades are always sent). Photos you upload and pricing data may be processed by AI systems, including third-party AI providers, for authenticity checks and price estimates. Sniffy is not directed to anyone under 18.
