The Protection Vault is money Sniffy sets aside only for trades that go wrong even though the member did everything right. Meet every requirement (questions in chat, your own research, lots of photos including under the atomizer and the batch code, payment in the app, boxing and unboxing videos) and it can cover you up to the full amount, at Sniffy's discretion. Every listing needs a real photo of the actual bottle. Our AI rejects AI-generated images and anything that isn't a real bottle, then compares the cap, bottle shape and label against what the genuine fragrance should look like and flags anything that looks off. A strong signal, not a certificate of authenticity.
Sellers film the item being packed; buyers film it being opened. Boxing videos are on by default for trades, sellers can require videos on their listings, and either side can request them for a trade — they're the evidence disputes are decided on.
Only completed trade partners can leave reviews. No spam, no manipulation — ratings you can actually trust.
All trade conversations happen inside Sniffy, so every negotiation is on record. Trades are paid in-app only: messages arranging Venmo, Cash App, Zelle or PayPal are blocked, and deals paid off Sniffy aren't protected. Report or block anyone from the thread and the team reviews it.
Disputes are reviewed by the Sniffy team using the chat, photos, boxing and unboxing videos, tracking and batch codes, and the decision is binding. The money stays held until it's decided.
Three strikes for bad behavior — fake listings, no-shows, or fraud — and you are out permanently.
Sellers can put real money behind a listing to show they stand by it. Trade honestly and it is refunded; lose a dispute and it is forfeited.
