Get paid
The buyer confirms (or the inspection window passes) and the payout lands in your Stripe account, minus Sniffy's fee. If the buyer never confirms, it releases automatically 3 days after USPS delivers (7 days for your first 3 sales). Done.

Selling tips that actually move bottles
- Photograph the batch code. Buyers of Creed, Dior, YSL and Amouage will ask; put it in the listing and you skip the back-and-forth.
- State fill level as a percentage and photograph the bottle against a light background so it's visible.
- Price against the live market, not retail. Check what the same bottle is listed for on Sniffy and go slightly under to sell fast, or match it and take offers.
- Mark it "sale or trade". Twice the audience — buyers with cash and collectors with a bottle to trade.

How much does it cost to sell perfume on Sniffy?
Listing is free. When a sale completes, Sniffy takes 10% of the sale price. Buyers never pay a platform fee. There are no fees for offers, messages or unsold listings.
How do I get paid?
The buyer pays when they accept your price or you accept their offer. The money is held securely by Sniffy while you ship. Once the buyer confirms the bottle arrived as described (or the inspection window passes), the payout is sent to your bank through Stripe, usually within 3–5 business days. No bank connected yet? It waits safely in your Sniffy balance and goes out the moment you add one.
Can I sell partial bottles, decants or bottles without a box?
Yes to all three. Be exact about fill level, batch code and whether the box is included — buyers on Sniffy expect that detail, and it's what protects you if there's ever a dispute.
What can't I sell?
Anything you don’t own, anything that isn’t genuine, and anything you can’t photograph yourself. Stock images, internet photos and AI-generated images aren't allowed. Testers are fine if they're labelled as testers.
How does shipping work?
A prepaid, insured, tracked label prints straight from the trade at the exact price of the cheapest insured USPS label from your ZIP to the buyer's — typically $8–11, shown to the buyer before they pay (paid by the buyer, or included in your price). Is selling perfume on Sniffy better than eBay or Mercari?
For fragrance, usually yes: fees are lower than eBay's roughly 13% for most sellers, buyers here know what a batch code is, decants and partials are normal rather than suspicious, and you can also list for trade — which general resale apps can't do.
